It is revealed that Shivudu is, in fact, the son of the late king Amarendra Baahubali and the rightful heir to the throne of Mahishmati.

The second film, "Baahubali: The Conclusion," delves into the past and narrates the events that led to the downfall of the mighty Baahubali. The story follows the rivalry between Baahubali and his cousin Bhallaladeva for the throne of Mahishmati. It unveils the conspiracies, betrayals, and power struggles within the royal family.

The film also reveals the story of Devasena, a warrior princess and Baahubali's love interest. Devasena is held captive by Bhallaladeva for years, and Baahubali embarks on a mission to rescue her. Eventually, a massive battle ensues between Baahubali and Bhallaladeva's armies.

In the climax, Baahubali sacrifices himself to save his kingdom and his people. His son, Shivudu, avenges his father's death and fulfills his destiny as the rightful king of Mahishmati. The film ends with Shivudu ascending the throne as the new king, taking the name Mahendra Baahubali.

The Baahubali franchise gained immense popularity for its grand scale, captivating storytelling, stunning visuals, and larger-than-life action sequences. It became one of the highest-grossing film series in Indian cinema and received critical acclaim both domestically and internationally.
